About the Role:

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Early Career Teachers to join our team of supply teachers in the Durham area. As an ECT supply teacher, you will have the opportunity to work in a range of secondary schools, delivering pre-planned lessons and managing classrooms across different subjects. This is an excellent chance to build your confidence, gain diverse teaching experience, and explore different school environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across various subjects and year groups.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring all students are engaged and on task.
  • Follow the school's behaviour policies to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Adapt to different school settings and teaching styles, demonstrating flexibility and professionalism.
  • Provide feedback to schools on students' progress and any challenges encountered during the day.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Recently qualified Early Career Teacher (ECT).
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to different environments.
  • Enthusiastic, resilient, and committed to providing high-quality education.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A valid DBS check registered with the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
