Job summary

The Wyre Forest Health Partnership are looking are looking to recruit a Deputy PCN Operations Manager to work 24 hours per week. The keen and enthusiastic individual will work closely alongside thePCNOperations Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the service and to provide leadership and guidance to the administrative and support staff.

Main duties of the job

Lead the team when the PCN Operations Manager is absent.

To deliver day to day employee management activitiesas required or delegated by the PCN Operations Manager.

To deliver an outstanding patient experience

To support the PCN Operations Manager indelivering the profitability of the delegated PCN services, driving greatresults and performance to an outstanding standard.

Support the equality, diversity and rights of patients, carers andcolleagues, ensuring rights, privacy, dignity needs and beliefs of patients,carers and colleagues are respected at all times.

WFHP has been operating since December 2014 as a single Partnership, operating out of 5 surgeries, 3 are purpose built. We operate at scale and are at the forefront of primary care delivery in how we organise ourselves, having management and leverage for a large number of primary care employees (c250 people & c50 GPs). We also look after c 72 000 patients. We have a very strong quality improvement ethic, and are always looking to improve.

Job responsibilities

Work closely with the PCNOperations Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the operationand to provide leadership and guidance to the administrative and support staff.

Support the PCN Operations Manager to create theconditions for all Employees to thrive, make their best contribution andachieve their potential.

Manage clinicians within multi-disciplinary and matrix teams to achieve anddeliver clinical outcomes, in line with business needs, WFHP Policiesand healthcare guidance.

Directly manage the PCNServices team in the absence of the PCN Operations Manager, including allnon-clinical employees, PCN workflow and organisation, ensuring a safe,efficient and effective operation.

Management andLeadership - Support the PCN Operations Manager in managing the EmployeeLifecycle as required or delegated by the PCN Operations Manager. Including,where appropriate, employee appraisals or sickness absence meetings. Ability tohave courageous conversations and address shortfalls as well as celebratesuccesses.

CommercialProfitability - Assist the PCN Operations Manager in delivering commercialprofitability, monitor and manage direct costs and understand serviceprofitability and business next steps. Work with the PCN Operations Manager toidentify cost savings and revenue growth.

Patient Services - Collaborate with the PCN Operations Manager todeliver effective, efficient patient care. Handle patient complaintseffectively, seeking resolution and maintaining patient satisfaction.
