Join GSL Education as a SEN Teaching Assistant in Southwark This long-term role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with special educational needs (SEND) in reaching their full potential. The role focuses on helping students with behavioural challenges and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play an essential part in their academic and emotional development, helping create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Position Type: Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: £90-110 per day

About the Role:
  • Individualised Support: Work closely with students to implement tailored support plans, helping them manage their emotions and develop effective coping strategies.
  • Positive Behaviour Development: Promote a nurturing and inclusive environment where positive behaviour is encouraged. Implement behaviour management strategies, rewarding and reinforcing positive actions.
  • Educational Support: Assist students in accessing the curriculum by providing one-on-one help with academic tasks and collaborating with teachers to adapt learning materials to suit individual needs.
