Pay rate: £150-£210 per day (based on experience)

Look no further GSL Education is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Qualified BSL Teacher to join our client schools in the vibrant heart of Camden.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the UK
  • Specialisation in British Sign Language (BSL) with relevant certifications

Expertise:

  • Proficiency in BSL, with a deep understanding of its linguistic and cultural aspects
  • Experience in teaching BSL to diverse groups, including children and adults

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning environments
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities

Personal Qualities:

  • Passion for promoting inclusivity and accessibility through sign language
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability in working with diverse learners
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and improvement

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead captivating BSL lessons that ignite curiosity and foster communication skills.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to develop innovative lesson plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Provide personalised support and guidance to students, nurturing their confidence and proficiency in BSL.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion, empowering students to embrace the richness of sign language and its cultural significance.

  • The Right to Work in the UK
  • An enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application through us
  • Two professional child-related references
  • An updated CV
