Our client is seeking a Java BackendDeveloper for ourcontract position with a client located in New York NY ideally looking for applicants witha solid background in the Banking & and financial servicesindustry and strong Python / REST / FICC and DerivativeTrading.

Required / Desired Skills: Python;NoSQL; SQL; SVN; Git; RESTful API; GraphQL; Websockets; AdvancedEnglish/Fluent; / Flask; FastAPI; Tornado; Dependency AcyclicGraph; Understanding of Financial Instruments

Position Summary: We are looking for a strong candidateto augment our EM development team: Enhance/improve existingbusiness applications (core frameworks trade blotters managementreporting tools etc..); Work in partnership with global technologyteams to develop strategic solutions and reduce redundantprocesses; Assist all support units on inquiries regarding productsalready available in our portfolios (Fixed Income Currencies andDerivatives) as well as maintain/provide good/uptodatedocumentation to help on business growth initiatives. Work closelywith our front office trading desk to diagnose understand andresolve pressing issues; Be comfortable working with incomplete orinaccurate information and have the ability to read into unclearproblems to find lasting solutions; Work extensively with teamsacross the business as well as external brokers and otherorganizations; Communicate effectively with a mixture of technicaland nontechnical user both in person on the phone and in writtencommunication; Write clear concise documentation around issuesensuring that when items are raised to the development team theyare articulate; demonstrate the root of the issue and wherepossible include additional analysis to help resolve problems; Helpus move forward as an organization through the introduction of newideas assist on the release of new products and help drive ourbusiness through a relentless focus on innovation.
Qualifications: Intellectually curious collaborative eager to takeon new challenges ready to take ownership of your work and anatural problem solver. Experience working in a highpressure workenvironment. Excellent coding clientrelationship problemsolvinganalytical thinking and communication skills. A desire tounderstand the industry is crucial. Coding knowledge of Python andJavascript (React Nodejs); SQL and NoSQL databases; ETL processes;RESTful APIs and GraphQL; Connectivity protocols for streamingfinancial data; Ability to track multiple issues and prioritizebased on business needs. Ability to effectively interface withtechnical and nontechnical staff at all organizational levels.REQUIREMENTS: A bachelors degree in computer science or a relatedfield or equivalent experience. Must be available throughouttrading hours (9 am to 7 pm) 5 days a week.
