Due to the growth of our Services Team in Newcastle, we are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer, EMEA Services.

Reporting directly into the Operations Manager Services EMEA, the role of Quality Engineer - EMEA Services will be responsible for managing service quality issues with respect to offshore and onshore operations and field installations.

Reporting to the Operations Manager Services EMEA with a dotted line QHSE Manager US, the role is responsible for ensuring that all Service EMEA based non-conformances that have been raised are facilitated through to closure effectively and as smoothly as possible. This position will be accountable for leading all Service EMEA based root cause analysis investigations and verifying the effectiveness of identified preventative measures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage all Information Management System (IMS) related issues including Non-Conformance Records (NCR's), Deviation Change Requests (DCR's) and Internal Technical Queries (ITQ's) as required. Ensuring all issues are followed throughout the service process and acceptance criteria is adhered to and verifying documents are produced and endorsed to record all results.
  • Manage and maintain the First Incident Report Form (FIRF) process and circulate monthly reports to senior management.
  • Conduct goods inwards inspection on procured components, ensuring these are receipted into the system via the Asset Team.
  • Independent of the Asset Team, conduct the pre-mobilisation inspection of consumables, tools, and equipment to ensure applicable standards and employer requirements.
  • Support offshore operations and field installations in respect of quality issues which will involves working collaboratively with various quality colleagues, internal and external stakeholders' issues arise.
  • Support the Service EMEA team, mainly the Service Support Engineers with project specific documentation requirements.
  • Support the UK Quality function with operational, supplier and project quality requirements as required. Ensuring non-conformances are submitted to the client within the contractual time scales ensuring the client is updated throughout.

To be successful in this role, the candidate should have previous experience with umbilicals, cables, cable accessories and termination hardware. It is also necessary to have a working knowledge of ISO 9001. The candidate should have demonstrable experience in a client facing role highlighting effective interpersonal skills when dealing with both internal and external stakeholders, with experience of dealing with both customers and suppliers.

It is a necessity that the candidate holds a valid EU passport and driving license, as there will be travel associated with this role to support global supplier inspections/interventions as and when required. It is desirable that the candidate that offshore certification (Full GWO and offshore medical) or fit to achieve these qualifications along with previous experience working offshore on oil & gas platforms / wind farms.
