We have a full time position for a Graduate/Junior Back End Developer with .NET skills to work with our growing development team. We’re hard working, and lucky enough to balance this with fun at the same time; we’re also pretty good at what we do and take great pride in our creations, making us an awesome bunch of gifted individuals where together we will be amazing.


Our Back End Developer will be working on a wide variety of projects, from websites, apps, system applications and more - using a mixture of persistence technologies. Communication is vital - all of our developers understand the importance of client communication and professionalism. In order to deliver a successful project, communication, whether internal or external, is at the heart. The Role

- Produce clean, efficient and testable code  based on specifications using ASP.NET languages (C#, Razor).

- Willingness to learn new languages and technologies.

- Keep abreast of latest and emerging technologies.

- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success.

- Ability to self manage.

- Work in a multidisciplinary team with other professionals such as Front-End Developers and Web Designers.

- Produce clean, efficient, testable code using modern web technologies.

- Adhere to organisational policies, standards and best practices in application development, documentation, and maintenance that support industry best practices and project approaches.

- Collaborate with designers, developers and product owners in order to build interactive and scalable sites/software. 

- Review and refactor code.

- Build, develop and maintain backend toolsets.

- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software.

- Verify and deploy programs and systems using industry-standard tooling (Azure DevOps, Gitlab Cl, etc.).

- Communicate with the internal team to help clarify development tasks and attend quoting meetings when required.

- Attend training and education.


Required experience

- 3+ years of IT Work experience.

- 2+ years experience in HTML, CSS and Javascript. (ES6+, SASS).

- 2+ years experience with database development and web-to-database connectivity (SQL).

- 2+ years experience of hands on experience with object oriented language development using ASP.NET +ASP.NET core languages (.NET Framework 4.7 + .NET core 3.1 preferably, Razor).

- Knowledgeable concerning clean code, secure coding practices, design patterns, code smells, refactoring, etc.

- Commercial experience with at least one .NET CMS (Umbraco, Sitecore, Kentico, Episerver.).

- Commercial experience with designing and implementing RESTful APIs.

- Familiarity with distributed build and deployment tools (Azure pipelines or equivalent).

- Knowledge of SOLID programming principles.

- Aptitude with code authoring tools (Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code).

- Knowledge of GIT version control.

- Documented customer liaison responsibilities.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude.


Desirables

- Familiarity and commercial experience with common software architectural styles (Microservices, Monolithic, 3 layers).

- Strong knowledge of UML and object-oriented design.

- Familiarity and commercial experience with distributed build and deployment tools (Azure pipelines, Jenkins, Octopus deploy).

- Experience with Azure technologies (Functions, Table storage, Storage Queues, Blob Storage).

- Commercial experience with .NET mobile development (Xamarin).
