Position Overview:

Lough Erne Resort is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Porter to join our esteemed team. The Housekeeping Porter will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of our luxurious resort facilities. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent organisational skills and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitising all designated areas such as guest rooms, public areas, corridors, and staff areas according to established standards.

2. Linen Management: Assist in the collection, sorting, and distribution of linens, towels, and other supplies to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained and guest needs are met promptly.

3. Waste Disposal: Properly dispose of waste and recyclable materials in designated containers and adhere to recycling guidelines to support the resort's sustainability efforts.

4. Room Setup: Assist with the setup of guest rooms and public spaces for special events, conferences, or meetings as needed, ensuring all furniture, amenities, and equipment are arranged according to specifications.

5. Inventory Control: Monitor and report any shortages or damages to cleaning supplies, amenities, or equipment to the Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure timely replenishment and maintenance.

6. Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals, use of personal protective equipment, and compliance with OSHA and resort guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

7. Guest Interaction: Respond promptly to guest requests, inquiries, or concerns with a courteous and helpful attitude, striving to exceed guest expectations and enhance their overall experience at Lough Erne Resort.

8. Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other members of the housekeeping team and various departments across the resort to support a seamless guest experience and foster a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices preferred.
