As a Geography teacher, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and passion for the subject, helping students develop a deep understanding and appreciation for the world around them. Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver engaging Geography lessons to students in accordance with the school's curriculum and standards.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, including differentiated instruction and assessments.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student learning and collaboration.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching practices and curriculum.
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, assessments, and other relevant data.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, Education, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience teaching Geography in a primary or secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks for Geography.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- High levels of organization, professionalism, and flexibility.
