Must Haves:

  • 10 years of experience with different manual testingtypes: Systems testing Mobile AODA and UAT testing
  • 10 years of handson experience with BRD: analyzingbusiness requirements and creating test datarequirements
  • Previous experience with DriverVehicle and Health services in ServiceOntario web portal
  • Experience with Canada Post Address module Web ContentManagement and Government Payment Gateways
  • Experience with statistics tools e.g. Google Analyticsand Crystal reports
  • Extensive handsonexperience with Techniques Methodology tools to test accessibilityfor web and mobile applications
  • Handsonexperience with accessibility testing using keyboard only as wellas via industry leading assistive technology tools

Nice to Have:

  • Previous Public Sector Experience is anasset.

Description

Responsibilities: Provides advice on the testing strategytest plans the selection of testing tools and the identification ofresources required for testing Plans and organizes testing effortsfor large systems in Graphical User Interface (GUI) andnonGraphical User Interface (GUI) environments including theexecution of systems integration tests specialized tests and useracceptance testing (e.g. stress tests) The Quality AssuranceSpecialist is responsible for the development of test plans testscripts and test cases and executing these against the variouscomponents. The tester will work with the testing lead and IT leadof each project as well as the project team members in the analysisdesign development implementation and ongoing support of therequired systems General Skills: Experience in planning organizingand implementing testing efforts at the specified experience levelKnowledge of structured methodologies for the development designimplementation and maintenance of applications Knowledge andexperience in the use of Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE)tools and data query tools to aid in the development of test casesKnowledge and experience in the use of automated test tools andversion control systems on one or more platforms Experienceexecuting functional tests nonfunctional tests and systems levelintegration tests Experience supporting user acceptance testing andparticipating in UAT activities Experience with quality assuranceprinciples practices tools and structured methodologies Experiencecreating testing strategy documentation test plans test cases andtest data for various types and phases of testing includingtechnical and business functional validation Experience in qualityassurance and testing including unit testing integration testingload testing performance testing etc. Knowledge and experience inall phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle Excellentanalytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills; organizationalcreativity and perseverance skills; verbal and writtencommunication skills; and interpersonal skills A team player with atrack record for meeting deadlines Knowledge of one or moreautomated testing tools Desirable Skills: Knowledge and experiencein at least one programming language Experience in the use ofinformation retrieval packages Knowledge and understanding oftesting methods in an objectoriented environment Knowledge andunderstanding of Information Management principles conceptspolicies and practices.   • Solid experience creating TestStrategy/Test Plan document
  • 10 years ofhandson experience with BRD: analyzing business requirements andcreating test data requirements (must have)
  • Extensive experience with preparing detailed test casesto test functionality
  • Proven experience withidentifying bugs in software; excellent ability to document andexplain bugs/issues to Dev and business teams
  • Solid experience with triaging defects participating andleading triage meetings and producing defect summaryreports

Technicalexperience: 25%

  • Hands onexperience with various defect tracking tools such as HP ALM andDevOps
  • Experience creating test cases and testscenarios in HP ALM and DevOps
