Position: ASC Support Assistant
School Location: Preston (PR4)
Rate of Pay: £12.90 per hour
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 3.15pm
Start Date: January 2025

Role and Responsibilities:
As an ASC Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing one-to-one support and assistance to children with Autism Spectrum Condition. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students with their individual learning goals and academic tasks.
- Assisting in the implementation of personalised educational plans.
- Facilitating communication and social interactions for students with ASC.
- Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitoring and recording students' progress and behaviour.
- Providing emotional support and promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
Requirements:
- Experience or qualifications in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition is desirable, though not essential.
- Demonstrable patience, empathy, and understanding in working with children with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and fellow staff members.
- A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
