Join Our Team as an SEN Intervention Tutor

Do you have experience supporting children with special needs? Looking for flexible, one-on-one tutoring work outside mainstream schools starting June 2024?

Role Overview:

  • Provide face-to-face support for children with ASD, SEMH, or PMLD in their homes, care homes, or local areas like libraries.
  • Plan and deliver tailored resources to enhance learning in Maths, English, and Science.
  • Engage children in tasks and ensure they can access the learning material.
  • Manage behavior and implement effective strategies.

Ideal Candidates:

  • Experience with SEN (teaching assistant, one-to-one, or similar roles).
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, nurturing sessions.
  • Skills in boosting pupils’ confidence and learning.
  • Experience working with challenging behavior.
  • Ability to track and provide feedback on pupil progress.

Requirements:

  • Evidence of relevant skills and experience.
  • Current DBS certificate (Teaching Personnel can assist with this).

Details:

  • Location: Shirebrook (NG20), accessible by road, bus, and tram.
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday between 08:00 - 16:00.
  • Pay: £20-30 per hour.
  • Benefits: 13 weeks off per year, dedicated consultant support, payment without Umbrella company fees, opportunities for CPD.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
