Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons to students in accordance with the school curriculum
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student participation and active learning
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support as necessary
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
  • Use a variety of teaching resources and technologies to enhance student understanding and engagement
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievements, attendance, and behaviour
  • Engage with parents and guardians to provide regular updates on student progress and address any concerns or queries

Requirements

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent certification in Geography
  • Proven experience teaching Geography at the primary or secondary education level
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with educational best practices
