SENDirect is excited to be working with a primary school in Clacton seeking a passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team in January 2025. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants ready to take the next step in their career, providing leadership and tailored support to students.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver planned lessons and support across classes.
  • Lead small group interventions and one-on-one support.
  • Assist teachers with planning, resources, and classroom management.
  • Lead classes during teacher absences, ensuring curriculum progress.
  • Foster students’ academic, social, and emotional development.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA.
  • Confidence in leading classes and targeted interventions.
  • Strong communication skills and team collaboration.
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience (preferred).
