Job title: .Net / Web Developer

Reports to: Smart Operations Project Manager

Location: London

Project

Project Team

This project seeks to provide a more robust replacement to the firm’s regulatory reporting solution to ensure it meets the requirement for accurate and timely reporting by using a new third-party vendor with strategic internal processes and architectural changes.

Position purpose

Development of custom built components to support the requirements of the project Participate in SCRUM methodologies where appropriate Participate in the analysis and design phases as required Collaborate with all project stakeholders including product owners, analysts and quality assurance to deliver technical solutions

Experience required

Minimum four years hands-on development experience in a distributed Microsoft environment with at least the last three years dedicated exclusively to commercial development involving .Net and relational databases. A strong level of hands-on development experience in a distributed Microsoft environment with most recent experience dedicated exclusively to commercial .Net development.

Technical requirements

The candidates will have solid experience of developing solutions utilising the following technologies:

Microsoft C# with .Net Framework/.Net Core Development for the cloud (preferably Azure)Azure Kubernetes ServicesAzure functionsAzure Monitoring and Application InsightsKey VaultAzure SQL Server WebApi or Windows Service hosted components Entity Framework 6+ Commercial SQL Experience (SQL Server or Oracle)

The candidate will be proficient at the following development techniques: This needs to be at a good level within previous work experience.

Test/behaviour driven development (TDD/BDD) techniques Inversion of Control techniques Agile development (SCRUM preferred) Automated continuous integration pipeline, including automated deployment (DevOps Server preferred) GIT branch management

Ideally, the candidate should have knowledge in some of the following technologies:

Vendor system integration DevOps Server for continuous integration, automated test execution and source code management Enterprise message bus (preferably Azure service bus) Creating complex SQL queries, stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, views, tables & indexes

Preferably, the candidate will have experience in working in a financial trading environment with knowledge of traded products and their full life cycle.

8.30am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday
