This role is a brandnew position taking this newrange of Lab Automation and LIMS products to market. Tasks
  • The keyobjective of this newly created role is to generate sales ofrobotics and software products with new as well as existingcustomers within the Pharmaceutical and Biotech sectors sellingthese new to market off the shelf intelligent laboratory robots andlaboratory software solutionsinternationally.
  • The role will be field basedfocussed on new business development which will involve a highdegree of overseas travel to new and prospective pharmaceuticalclients like Sanofi GSK Pfizer Novartis Novo Nordisk to name just afew.
  • Proactively finding and qualifying newleads and opportunities together with identifying competitor andmarket activity will be an ongoing responsibility as will accuratesales planning and forecasting.
  • Attendingclient meetings and closing orders with key stakeholders to includeC and D suite level individuals in Laboratory Automation CompoundManagement and High Throughput Screening Departments across pharmaclient sites in the UK Europe and North Americaregion.
  • Working with a dedicated ApplicationsSpecialist you will host and run demonstrations at our clientsstate of the art demo lab in the UK.
  • Theidentification development and maintenance of KOLs influentialcontacts within customer pharmaceutical organisations will play anessential part in achieving success in therole.
Requirements
  • Ideallyyou will have a proven track record (5 years plus) of successfulsales experience as a European Business Development ManagerInternational Life Science Instrument Sales Specialist LabAutomation Account Manager or equivalent job title selling highvalue and complex laboratory/ automation solutions or ScientificSoftware Next Generation Sequencers Laboratory Robotics and/orLiquid Handling systems NGS/Drug Discovery instruments toPharmaceutical/Life Science clients
  • You willhave European or International sales territory managementexperience looking to undertake a global salerole.
  • If you do not have direct LiquidHandling/Laboratory Automation sales experience you could also haveexperience selling other mid to high value technical laboratorycapital equipment such as Cryogenic Sample Storage MassSpectrometry GCMS LCMS Plate Readers Plate Washers SampleManagement/Compound Storage solutions orsimilar.
  • You will be educated to BSc Degreelevel or equivalent in either a Life Sciences Biological Sciencesor Engineering/Mechatronics/Robotics/Softwaresubject.
  • It will be an advantage if you haveexisting knowledge and experience in one or more of the followingscientific areas: Drug Discovery HighThroughput ScreeningGenotyping siRNA Next Generation Sequencing Sample PreparationBiorepository Science Genomics Proteomics
  • Fulland preferably clean UK driving licence and a valid passport withthe ability to travel Internationally between circa 40 60% of thetime.
