Transport Operator, Nights

 Cullompton – Spar Contract

At Gregory Distribution, we are currently seeking a Transport Operator – Nights in our busy Depot in Cullompton. This position involves providing coordination of the day to day running of this busy depot.

The position involves:

Provide leadership of day to day transport issues, including dispatch debrief and work in progress for the Chilled and Ambient operations at Cullompton. You will also be required to work closely with our customer to ensure the smooth running of the operation as a whole. Managing and de-briefing drivers. Customer relations and a range of associated administrative duties. Answering all queries via email, phone and face to face. Assisting in production of KPI’s and daily statistics.

Essential Skills required:

Experience of working in a similar role is preferred and you should have a good working knowledge of traffic management systems. Ability to communicate at all levels. Strong geographical knowledge of the local area. Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload. Attention to detail. Working to deadlines. Solution driven and Flexible approach to your work. Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative. MS packages to include, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
