The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Drama Teacher to join our Performing Arts Department. The successful candidate will be passionate about drama and the performing arts, and capable of delivering engaging and innovative lessons that bring out the best in our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver creative drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Develop students' acting, performance, and collaborative skills.
  • Organize and direct school productions, plays, and other performance events.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Performing Arts curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, extra-curricular activities, and school-wide events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching drama at the secondary level is preferred.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A passion for the performing arts and a commitment to student development.
