GSL Education are working with a lovely school in Cosham who are looking for a teaching assistant to join their friendly team. This SEMH School is focused strongly on providing support and care for their pupils. The school aims to meet the needs of secondary-aged (11-16) children who have difficulty managing social interactions, building positive relationships and regulating their emotions.

We are looking for a caring individual who is very understanding with challenging behaviour. Some children find it hard to focus on learnig tasks and will need support from a patient individual in lesons. Does this sound like you? If so, we would love to hear from you

This Role includes,

  • Supporting the teaching and learning of SEMH pupils
  • Working closely with pupils who display challenging behaviour and emotional difficulties
  • Working in classrooms supporting Teachers and fellow Teaching Assistants 
  • Full-time is preferred but part-time applicants may still apply, as job shares can be available
  • Hours 8:30am-3:30pm
  • £12.82 -£14.72 per hour

To work with GSL Education as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you should: 
 

  • Have the right to work in the UK. 
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years. 
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
