Role Overview

This role is being created as part of a succession plan, and the successful candidate will be provided the necessary training to become a Law of Propert Act Receiver and take over as the department head, over a 4 to 5 year period. There will be a requirement to undertake relevant qualifications and support for this will be provided. On a day to day basis, you will be remotely managing a portfolio of residential property located across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, in accordance with a strategy that you have prepared and agreed with our client. You will be liaising with tenants, lenders, clients and solicitors via e-mail and telephone. This is a high volume office based role and the ability to manage a large caseload, and strong administrative skills are required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake a period of training and development, to include obtaining relevant qualifications in order to become an LPA Receiver and Department Head over a 3 – 4 year period
  • Be personally responsible for a large portfolio of residential property, preparing a strategy for our client that will result in the best outcome for all stakeholders
  • Manage cases in accordance with agreed strategy, to include taking necessary action to obtain vacant possession of property where required
  • Liaise with tenants, landlords, Local Authority representatives, letting agents, solicitors and all other stakeholders as required, by telephone, e-mail and letter.
  • Liaise with contractors to arrange planned and ad-hoc maintenance as required
  • Assist with the production of client and internal reports
  • Demonstrate understanding of Savills brand with particular reference to conduct, presentation and professionalism.
  • Represent the department and Savills to clients and third parties demonstrating professionalism and integrity at all times
  • Develop strong working relationship with other Savills’ colleagues and with client case handlers.

    • Experience of lettings legislation and legal process preferred
    • Willing to work towards relevant qualifications
    • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail required
    • Proactive approach to work and willingness to adapt and flex as required
    • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
    • Report writing (high level of competency required)

Team Overview

The LPA team based in Salisbury currently has 5 team members and we are looking to recruit a dynamic addition to the team, to be trained over the coming 3 - 4 years with a view to taking over as LPA Receiver. Our clients are mortgage lenders and we receive instructions where there has been a breach in a buy-to-let mortgage conditions. We are passionate about delivering an exceptional service to our clients, whilst providing compassionate support to tenants who have found themeselves in difficult situations. The working environment is fast paced and vibrant, as we deal with a high volume of telephone calls which may be challenging, but we are supportive of one another and enjoy a great team vibe.
