We are working with a SEN Trust within the Oldham area to recruit teachers to delivering engaging and tailored lessons to pupils with special educational needs.

If you are a teacher with strong experience in SEN, placements during your training year or looking to work in a new and rewarding sector then this may be the role for you.

The schools we are working with all cater for pupils with some form of additional learning need, and a EHCP.

The main need in most schools is related to Autism, with different levels of severity depending on the school and/ or department within that school. Pupils are in class sizes of between 6-10, with one or Teaching Assistants available to support.

The individual schools have specialised facilities within the schools and across the trust to support pupils learning including specialised classrooms, sensory rooms and play areas, hydrotherapy pools. The schools are also benefit from wider trust support for staff training and development.

The ideal SEN Teacher would have:

  • Qualified Teacher status within this UK
  • Evidence of supporting the teaching and learning of those with SEN
  • Ability to tailor and differentiate lessons to individual pupils
  • Knowledge of using EHCPs to support lessons planning
  • Skills in leading Teaching Assistants to support pupils where required.

The roles are all full time Monday-Friday, 08:15-15:45 with a start date in September. Pay is dependent Teacher pay scale + SEN allowance.
