About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Traffic Engineer to join TRL Software. Our software solutions, which are built upon cutting edge research and have been validated worldwide, reduce congestion, provide more reliable journey times, and ultimately improve air quality in cities and urban environments.

We are seeking a candidate with a passion for delivering solutions that revolutionise efficient transport, road safety, and asset management.

This role could suit an early careers software engineer or someone with more expertise. The successful candidate may work remotely with occasional in-person collaboration or be based at our offices in Wokingham or London.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate smooth onboarding for new clients, ensuring quick implementation and results Collaborate to solve deployment issues Conduct UTC deployments with proper configurations Utilise tools for traffic signal configuration and management Contribute to marketing with project success stories Identify opportunities to enhance offerings and customer experience Assist in preparing tenders for future traffic control contracts Write technical documentation.

About You:

Proficiency in at least one of the following tools: MOVA, SCOOT, TRANSYT and/or Linsig Working knowledge of technical principles in current and emerging traffic signal systems Proven track record of successful projects Experience with traffic signal controllers and microsimulation tools is a bonus Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement, excellent cross-collaboration abilities in remote team working, and an analytical mindset for resolving technical issues.
