A highly reputable Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Girls PE Teacher to join the permanent staff at one of their distinguished schools in Croydon. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of an inspiring educational environment, committed to fostering both academic and athletic excellence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Physical Education to girls across various year groups, developing and delivering engaging and inclusive PE lessons that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and a love for sports. The role involves:

  • Planning and implementing a comprehensive PE curriculum.
  • Encouraging student participation in physical activities.
  • Organizing school sports events and extracurricular activities.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress.
  • Providing support and guidance to students to help them achieve their full potential.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Physical Education or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching PE, preferably within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the national PE curriculum and current educational practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for promoting physical health and well-being among students.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Desirable:

  • Experience in organizing and coaching school sports teams.
  • Additional qualifications or certifications in sports coaching or related areas.
