A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A KITHCEN ASSISTANT AT HOLIDAY INN BARROW IN FURNESS

Reporting to the Kitchen Manager you can expect your working day to include the following. 

  • Working within a very busy Bar & Restaurant.
  • Breakfast shifts are required for this role, whereby you will be assiting with the brekafast service which commences at 6.30am. 
  • Afternoon and evening service prep and cooking.
  • Being flexible and a team player is essential criteria. The role is based on shift works, therefore there will be a mix of early and late shifts dependent on the business levels within the hotel. 
  • Weekend working is also part of this role. 
  • Providing True Hospitality to all guests to ensure they have the best experience whilst accomodating the hotel.

To succeed in the role of Kitchen Assistant you will need the following qualities and skills. 

  • Previous F&B Experience is essential. 
  • Flexibility in terms of working mornings and late shifts which suit the business needs. 
  • Working within a branded restaurant/bar is desirable.
