An exciting opportunity to join our expanding Diabetes, Endocrine and General Medicine Team here at Croydon University Hospital.
The post holder will work with the existing Consultants to develop the service, in particular, to support the other consultants in delivering a high quality service, with an opportunity to develop a sub-specialty and further enhance diabetic and endocrine services locally.

Croydon University Hospital wishes to appoint a Consultant Physician within Diabetes/ Endocrine and General Medicine. The Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated physician to join the team.
In addition to providing a diabetes/ endocrine service the role has a commitment to the acute medical take, in partnership with acute physicians.

GMC Registration
Essential
Full registration with the GMC
Qualification
Essential
Membership of Royal College or Equivalent MB BS or equivalent Inclusion in the specialist register for Diabetes and Endocrinology, and General medicine or equivalent, or within 6 months of CCT at time of interview.
Desirable
Higher degree (MD, PhD or equivalent)
Training / Experience
Essential
Fully trained in Diabetes, Endocrinology & General (internal) Medicine Satisfactory completion of a higher specialist training programme in Diabetes & Endocrinology At least 2 years' substantive previous NHS experience at SPR level (or equivalent).
Desirable
Prior experience of work at consultant (or equivalent) level in Diabetes / Endocrinology Prior experience in developing a diabetes foot care service at either SPR or consultant level
Management and Leadership
Essential
Able to demonstrate leadership capability within multi-disciplinary teams Ability to organise and manage work
