Job summary

An exciting opportunity to join the Yate Minor Injuries team, managing presentations of Minor Injuries within a stand alone minor injuries unit. Open 7 days a week, 8am until 8pm, the team of Nurses, Paramedics and physiotherapists manage a busy department autonomously.

Main duties of the job

Autonomously triaging, assessing, diagnosing and treating patients of all ages who attend Yate Minor Injuries with a variety of presentations.

Undertaking treatments including suturing, plastering, x-ray interpretation, prescribing and shift management.

Making onward referrals to plastics trauma clinics, eye hospital, fracture clinic and emergency departments as needed.

Managing shift to ensure smooth running of department.

Supporting students and junior staff with their learning.
