We are looking for a Lead CT Diagnostic Radiographer to join the team at our centre in Cambridge (Newmarket, CB8 area) on a part-time, 12 month fixed term contract.

As the Lead CT Diagnostic Radiographer, you will lead and develop the service at the centre to ensure that all operational objectives and standards are achieved, and excellent customer treatment and service are delivered at all times.

You will be comfortable managing people and delivering processes innovation, with the drive and tenacity to ensure that excellence is achieved at all times while maintaining positive relationships.

Hours: 12 month fixed-term contract, part-time (30 hours over 4 days)

What you’ll do:

Lead and develop the diagnostic service at the GenesisCare centre Lead the clinical and non-clinical team in all aspects of the diagnostic imaging services and processes thus supporting all patients receiving CT, General x-rays and ultrasound (Consultant-led) in the centre. Responsibility for the CT sits under the Lead Diagnostic Imaging Radiographer if no Molecular Imaging in Centre. Support clinician and GP engagement, increasing activity and performance of the diagnostic services Work in partnership with the Outpatient Lead Nurse in delivering rapid access clinics to support business growth

What you’ll have:

Experience and skills:

Able to demonstrate significant post qualification experience Significant experience in CT Experience in all aspects of diagnostic imaging to a very high level of competence (Including CT and general x-rays) Evidence of service set up /development Evidence of effective management of staff and co-operative working Evidence of empathetic and a holistic approach to patient care Experience in private health sector Good experience with resolving complaints satisfactorily Sound understanding of governance A wide range of clinical skills Evidence of effective leadership Evidence of effective organisational, interpersonal and communication skills Strong relationship building skills Able to make independent judgments/decisions, ability to solve problems Able to work flexibly to achieve GenesisCare business objectives Able to act as a trainer and mentor for staff being managed
 

Qualifications and Knowledge:

DCR (DR) or BSc (Hons) or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography Working towards or having an MSc would be favourable HCPC registration Evidence of continuing professional development Experience of PACS desirable or a willingness to undertake super user training for PACS
