Are you passionate about leading architectural innovation in a fast-paced environment? MHR People First is seeking a Head of Software Architecture to inspire and guide our teams. You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and documenting high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions for our People First product.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Vision and Alignment: Develop a comprehensive software architectural strategy that aligns with our engineering capabilities and business objectives.

  • Empowering Engineering Teams: Drive efficiency by identifying key architectural requirements and risks, ensuring timely mitigations for smooth software delivery.

  • Azure SaaS Expertise: Design and evolve scalable Azure SaaS architecture, implementing best-fit patterns for large-scale systems.

  • Scalability and Performance Optimisation: Analyse SaaS design to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions that enhance scalability and performance.

  • Architectural Leadership: Lead Technical Design meetings, ensuring the architecture team provides expert guidance for crucial technical decisions.

  • System Integration: Design and oversee the implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.

  • Innovation Partnership: Work with the CTO & Software Director on annual infrastructure and software strategy, maintaining external partnerships for technology advancements.

  • Documentation and Standards: Oversee the creation of high-level design documents, promoting adherence to best practices.

  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with engineering and business teams to translate architectural vision into practical, impactful solutions.

  • Stakeholder Management: Cultivate relationships with stakeholders to deliver technology evaluations, prototypes, and solutions that increase efficiency and drive revenue.

  • Mentorship and Oversight: Guide and mentor the architecture team, ensuring technical standards are maintained across the People First product.

About You:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading architecture teams, encouraging growth, diversity, and empowerment.

  • People Development: Strong performance management skills with a history of developing talent.

  • Team Player: Excellent collaboration skills, open to feedback, and effective delegation.

Required Experience:

  • Technical Proficiency: Software Design, Cloud Proficiency in Azure, DevOps, Containerization, Test Automation, and Infrastructure as Code.

  • SaaS Products: Experience working on large scale SaaS products.

  • Commercial Software Development: Focused on software

  • Scaling Software: Proven experience in scaling software, preferably on Azure.

  • Strategic Implementation: Ability to implement and define an Architectural strategic direction.
