Bank Operating Department Practitioner – West Midlands Hospital – Bank Hours
The Role
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong clinical background in acute surgical care. We are looking for a dynamic and positive individual to ensure the Theatre department is Safe, Effective, Responsive, Caring, and Well Led.
The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the Theatre team, developing excellent working relationships with staff members, consultants and key stakeholders.
They will assist in driving sustainable excellence in the safety and quality of care and services.
They will support the Quality agenda by monitoring achievements against required standards, identifying risks to quality of care and services and planning, recommending /implementing changes for continuous improvement.
Where you’ll be based
West Midlands Hospital is a leading private Hospital set in pleasant grounds at Colman Hill, West Midlands. Conveniently located on the outskirts of Halesowen and only three miles from junction 3 of the M5 and 10 miles from Birmingham city centre, we offer the highest standards of clinical and personal care across a multitude of specialities. The hospital has 2 operating theatres, an endoscopy theatre and full diagnostic services on site. It is likely to see a further development and an increase in facilities within the next 2 years which will include a designated off-site ambulatory unit as a minimum.
Essential experience and qualifications for this role
ODP level 3
Comprehensive understanding of relevant clinical standards
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Sound computer skills and knowledge
A registered member with the HCP
