Our client, aleading international manufacturer, is currently recruiting for anexperienced Electrical Shift Technician to join their site inBirmingham at a time of huge growth for the business.

As a Electrical Shift Technician, you will bepart of a multi-skilled maintenance team that works together as aflexible and professional unit. You will be required to assist withboth breakdown and preventative maintenance across the site safelyand professionally.

Dutiesinclude:
- Adhere to all safety rules and requirements atall times.
- Carry out routine daily preventativemaintenance checks.
- Work alongside the Production TeamLeaders, Shift Technicians and Operators, reporting findings toyour Departmental Team Leader.
- Take responsibility forany specific area as required to understand its operation and fullyunderstand the maintenance requirements and safe systems of workfor that area.
- Ensure that all tasks are accompanied bythe relevant supporting documentation (work orders, riskassessments etc.).
- Carry out all non-planned andplanned maintenance tasks promptly.
- Be a front-linepoint of communication for Production Team Leaders, ShiftTechnicians and Operators during maintenanceactivities.
- Be actively involved in projects ofimprovement, extension or modification of equipment to optimiseefficiency, reliability and safety.

What weare looking for:
- HND/HNC Electrical Engineering(Essential)
- Previous experience in heavy industryunderstand 3 phase control systems
- Knowledge of PLCFault finding
- Knowledge of IsolationProcedures
- Knowledge of Hydraulic/Pneumatic/Mechanicalsystems
- Knowledge of continuous improvementtechniques.
- Attention to detail with the ability toanalyse problems and action solutions.
- Excellentcommunication skills both written and oral.
- Ability toself-organise, prioritise work and adhere todeadlines.
