Workshop Supervisor

Crossroads Truck & Bus Ltd is the Volvo Truck and Bus specialists across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. We provide a total transport solution for the industry, from new trucks to used trucks, and parts and servicing for trucks, buses and trailers.
 

We are looking for a to join our team in Birstall to oversee the  4 on 4 off day nightshift pattern.

Main Responsibilities
- To assist the assistant service manager in liaising between service reception and the workshop on repair.
- To ensure that the right technician has been allocated the right job. 
- To control and monitor the progress of the repair / service through to completion.
- Ensure high levels of quality are maintained on all work produced by the service department.
- Ensure that all service paperwork is completed to a high standard.
- To maintain excellent customer satisfaction and MOT standards. 

The successful candidate will be:
- Commercial technical background or similar is essential.
- A good communicator (internally and with customers).
- Able to work on own initiative.
- Able to problem solve.
- Extremely well organised.
- Able to prioritise effectively.
- Current HGV licence would be an advantage but not essential.
- Computer skills advantageous.

Requirements
- Qualifications required City & Guilds part 1 & 2 / BTEC / IMI in motor vehicle management or equivalent practical experience in the commercial vehicle industry.
- Commercial experience within a workshop environment / similar environment is essential.
- HGV Licence advantageous but not essential.
