We are always looking for exceptional talent to join our inspiring multinational business and right now we are seeking to recruit a detail-oriented and skilled CAD Technician to join our design team.
As a CAD Technician, you will play a crucial role in transforming conceptual designs into precise technical drawings and models. The ideal candidate will have a strong proficiency in CAD software and a passion for turning ideas into reality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain 3D and 2D CAD documents and Bills of Materials (BoMs).
- Produce mechanical layouts and manufacturing drawings under the direction of mechanical design engineers.
- Provide support for new product transfers to the Dover site.
- Ensure all design files and documentation are up to date and compliant with company standards.
- Contribute to the introduction of new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
- A suitable engineering qualification such as ONC/OND/NVQ Level 3 or above in Mechanical/Production Engineering.
- Proficient in using a 3D CAD system, preferably SolidWorks, for 3D part/assembly creation and 2D detail drawings.
- Familiar with electromechanical assemblies, plastic molded part design, sheet metalwork, and production documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and manage deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience in technical report writing.
- A positive attitude towards problem-solving and teamwork.
- Preferred: Experience with SAP, PLM/PDM systems, and knowledge of relevant safety standards (e.g., BSEN 61010).
