Your role
We are looking for a proactive Mechanical Engineer to join our friendly team in Penrith. Driving our Engineering activities towards world-class performance; make continuous improvement standard practice. There are training and career progression prospects as well as a great working environment.
This pivotal role will support the site teams to ensure compliance with company legislative requirements.
Engineer Shifts operate on a 3-shift pattern. Week one: night shift, week two: afternoon shift. Week three: morning shift.
Key Responsibilities – What your impact will be
Safety of yourself and others around you Mechanical breakdowns onsite Deliver on plant uptime and maintenance KPI’s through planned preventative and predictive maintenance. Continually improving performance of equipment and systems to support the development of the site Support with the training and coaching of the apprentices Support the site Leadership team to develop and deliver a safety focussed continuous improvement culture Updating and working from the site CMMSWhat you'll need to succeed
Be a team player Excellent awareness and experience in relation to Quality, Health & Safety. Be familiar with planned preventative maintenance. Experienced in fault finding and problem solving. NVQ3 or equivalent in mechanical engineering Be computer literate Previous experience of using a CMMS is desirableOur Company
