JOB OBJECTIVE

To support Ocean Blocks & Aggregates in its objective to become the first choice for blocks and aggregate supply in the South West. Whilst complying to H&S guidelines to help Ocean achieve our target of Zero Harm.


KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safe operation of plant machinery, Including pre-shift safety checks.
  • Willingness to learn operation of static processing plant.
  • Daily operation of FEL , handling stocks , blending materials , loading both quarry and road going transport.
  • Maintain good housekeeping procedure.
  • Basic Maintenance, greasing and cleaning.
  • Work in a safe manner, promoting the company's ambition of Zero Harm.
  • Any other reasonable duties as required. Knowledge/Experience Required
  • No previous experience of equipment is required as full training will be given.
  • A background knowledge of Ocean, including our Core Values would be an advantage.
  • Strong Health and Safety awareness and commitment to achieving Zero Harm.
  • Flexible approach to how working hours which will, on occasions include night shifts and weekend work.  


REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE


  • Excellent time keeping and punctuality.
  • A Willingness to learn.
  • An ability to integrate into an existing team.
  • An ability to assess tasks and implement safety provisions prior to commencement.
  • Must be happy to work outside (Essential).
  • Must be happy to work on a shift rotation (Essential).
