Weighbridge Operative

We are currently recruiting for a Weighbridge Operative to join the team at Leaton Quarry, Shropshire.

The successful candidate will effectively and efficiently carry out all duties associated with the operation and manning of the weighbridge. 

Please note, this role is being offer on a Fixed Term basis of 6 months, with the potential to go permanent. You will be based full time on site, working alternative weekends. No night working will be required for this role. 
Key Responsibilities
Weighing in and out of materials and recording all necessary information for invoicingDirecting goods inwards to correct stockpile/locationControl the entry to site of all customers, lorries and visitorsRecord time of despatch and return of trucks bringing raw materials to siteEnsure the general working of the weighbridge area, including the upkeep and cleanliness of equipment and workstationsFollowing training, undertaking a variety of site inspections (Environmental and/or Health and Safety), reporting defects and issues to the site managerCustomer ServiceTake telephone orders from customers/record orders in diaryKeep customers aware of any delaysEnsure customer accounts in order before customer permitted to load
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Excellent communication skills including oral communication, especially with customers on the telephone as well as in person with delivery personnel and drivers.Organised and analytical in order to successfully operate the Weighbridge computer package.Confidence and Interpersonal skills are important in order to deal with the diverse range of contacts.
