Job summary

An exciting opportunity is available to join General Surgeryas a Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioners. You will be joining awell-established team of ACP who have been a part of the General SurgicalDivision for over 10 years. You will be working as part of the surgical teamproviding face to face Patient care, leadership, expertise, advice and supportto the UECC, Surgical Assessment Unit, Elective surgical wards and Theatreareas ensuring the provision of high quality, person-centred care from thefirst point of contact to their final destination. The successful Trainee Practitionerwill be supported with fully funded training to obtain your MSc in AdvancedPractice. We are keen to appoint a Trainee Advanced Practitioner with previousexperience in a Surgical background but are happy for applicants from widerclinical background. The successful candidate will be provided with a robustinduction and personal development plan to meet their professional developmentneeds whilst working closely with the Lead Surgical ACP as well as ConsultantClinical Supervisor/Educator. Main duties of the job

The post-holder will learn to provide clinical expertise,leadership, consultancy and collaborations to ensure that Patients gaineffective, appropriate and timely care.

The ACP (post holder) will engage directly with theConsultants, medical staff and the multi-disciplinary team in the management of Patients as a pivotal member of the Team.

The postholder will learn to undertake advanced clinicalassessment, initiate investigations and interpret their results so clinicaldiagnosis can be determined and appropriate treatment initiated.
