Secondary Daily Supply Teacher  

Location: Newcastle  

Salary: £120 - £180 per day  

Start: ASAP  

GSL Education is looking for Secondary Daily Supply Teachers to cover various subjects in the secondary schools of our client schools in Newcastle. 

Job Summary: The Secondary Daily Supply Teacher will cover short-term absences of classroom teachers, delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring continuity in students' learning 
 

Responsibilities:   

  • Teach a range of subjects across the secondary curriculum/ KS3 and KS4. 
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. 
  • Manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive learning environment. 
  • Follow the school's policies and procedures for delivering lessons and managing students. 
  • Provide feedback to regular teachers on students' progress and behavior. 
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development and well-being 

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:   

  • Teaching Certification (QTS/PGCE or equivalent) 
  •  In-depth knowledge of the secondary school curriculum and teaching methodologies.  
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine love for education.  
  • Ability to craft engaging and inclusive lesson plans. 
  • Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
