Role:
Knight Frank are looking to hire an experienced VAT Manager responsible for advising on UK VAT and cross-border transactions related to property and ensuring compliance with VAT regulations, managing VAT returns for UK and European registrations, and leading training initiatives for the sales ledger team and the wider business.
Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice on cross-border transactions, particularly those related to property. Offer general VAT advisory services to internal stakeholders, ensuring they are informed of current VAT regulations and best practices. Advise on the VAT implications of business transactions and new projects. Ensure the company complies with all UK and European VAT regulations. Develop and maintain robust VAT compliance processes and controls. Stay up-to-date with changes in VAT legislation and ensure the company adjusts its practices accordingly. Oversee the preparation and submission of VAT returns for UK and European registrations. Liaise with external advisors and tax authorities as required. Handle any queries from tax authorities. Monitor and report on VAT risks and opportunities for the business. Lead training sessions for the sales ledger, credit control and purchase leddger teams to ensure they understand VAT processes and compliance requirements. Develop and deliver training programs for the wider business on VAT-related matters.Key Experience Required:
ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent tax qualification. Proven experience in VAT management, preferably within a similar industry and cross-border transactions, particularly related to property. Strong knowledge of UK and European VAT legislation and practices. Proficient in Word, Excel and Mail Merge Proficient in VAT compliance software (SAP ACR VAT software desirable but not essential)#1 #LI-FW1
