***INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY, PLEASE*** We have an exciting opportunity to join the National Trust as a Volunteer System Supporter on a fixed-term basis, working on a project to help volunteers and managers use the yourvolunteering and myvolunteering systems efficiently. You'll focus on system support, data management, process design, and troubleshooting, ensuring a smooth user experience.

What it's like to work here

Reporting to the Volunteer Systems & Process Lead, you’ll be part of a small, dedicated team focused on delivering outstanding support to all our users. Our role connects us with a wide variety of stakeholders across the organisation and external providers, offering a valuable opportunity to collaborate with a diverse range of disciplines within the National Trust.

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there’ll be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there’s flexibility on where you’re based at other times. You’ll be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This’ll be discussed in more detail at interview.

What you'll be doing

In this role, you'll work with the System Process Lead and Volunteer System Support Team to improve the experience for our volunteers and their managers. You’ll configure pages in our volunteer portal (Blackbaud CMS/BBIS) using standard templates and HTML, ensuring the system is user-friendly and efficient. You’ll also create standard operating procedures and reference documents for system administrators, helping them navigate the updated processes. Rigorous testing, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), will be key before implementing changes in the live environment.Additionally, you'll support users to ensure positive system interactions, delivering updates and training to administrators, and guiding them through any system changes with ease.

Who we're looking for

You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what is possible in this role.
