Autism Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and capable Autism Support Worker to join our prestigious school in South Tyneside. This full-time role is available throughout the academic year, offering stability for students with complex needs on the Autistic spectrum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to students with autism in both group and one-on-one settings
  • Assisting with classwork as necessary
  • Implementing effective strategies for behaviour management
  • Assisting students with their daily routines
  • Collaborating with the team to develop Education Healthcare Plans (ECHP)

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an Autism Teaching Assistant or Support Worker (preferred but not required)
  • A positive and encouraging attitude
  • Experience in behaviour management

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
