Humanities Teacher

 

Salary - £156.77 per day

Location – Tenby

Working Pattern – Monday to Friday (no weekend work)

Closing date – Friday 28th June

Teaching personnel are currently recruiting for a humanities teacher. We are looking for a humanities teacher to work in one of partner schools in the Tenby area. The school has a successful humanities department who are passionate about inspiring and developing young people.

Responsibilities of Humanities Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver effective humanities lessons, adhering to curriculum guidelines.
  • Create engaging and interactive learning materials to support students’ learning.
  • Facilitate classroom discussions and activities that promote collaboration and critical thinking skills.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and techniques to cater to the diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, grades, and performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve the humanities curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents and school staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • An honours degree in a relevant subject.
  • A teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or QTS.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a classroom and create a positive learning environment.

The Headteacher is willing to appoint a candidate with limited experience.  Candidates with NQT status will be considered for the role. This role will begin in the new academic year (September 2024).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
