Prison In-Reach Recovery Coordinator

About the role:
The Prison In-Reach Worker will act as the main coordinator providing comprehensive assessments; Coordinate the resettlement plan from prison by liaising with relevant agencies The post holder will be the navigator for these interventions, and advocate on behalf of the service user. Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community Promoting carer, service user and community involvement Providing advocacy for access to partnership services Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination Carry out comprehensive service user assessments, including mapping of community resources and develop individual action plans that clearly identify how achieving each goal will enable progression in addressing offending/substance use and re/integrating into the community Work closely with prison security departments when assessing risk and develop strong links with partner agencies within the prison system Work as part of a team to identify people who have a history of substance misuse and re-offending resulting in custodial sentencesAbout you:
Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills Knowledge of anti-social behaviour legislation Experience of working with people who have offending backgrounds including Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements. Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users Knowledge of the criminal justice system.What we will give to you:
