Axalta has remained at the forefront of the coatings industry by continually investing in innovative solutions. We engineer technologies that protect customers’ products – whether they are battling heat, light, corrosion, abrasion, moisture, or chemicals – and add dimension and beauty with colourful finishes. We have a vast and ever-evolving portfolio of brands primed to play an important part in everything from modernizing infrastructure around the world to enabling the next generation of electric and autonomous vehicles.

We are looking for an EMEA Demand Manager for our Refinish business to join us at our Mechelen, Asturias, or Lodz facilities.

The ideal candidate will be a high-energy self-starter with a strong work ethic who must excel at both day-to-day tactical execution as well as strategic planning. This individual must be motivated working across broad teams and have a strong performance mindset. Excellent communication and leadership skills and deep, relevant experience in Integrated Business Planning (IBP), especially Demand Management, will be critical to succeed in this role.

Key responsibilities:

As EMEA Demand Manager, you must be a subject matter expert within demand management. You need to be able to gather business- and products insights and translate this knowledge to the demand plan through demonstrating strong analytic capabilities and using multiple forecasting techniques.

You need to have an influential leadership style to facilitate demand management in forums across several functional and organizational levels.

Identify market trends and collaborate closely with Sales-, Marketing-, and Product Management teams to gather inputs to creation of the demand plan.

Analyze data from various sources to improve demand forecasts in our IBP process, using SAP, OMP+, SAS and Microsoft Excel.

Facilitate pre-demand meetings and regional Demand review in our monthly IBP cycles. Participate as a key contributor in handshake meetings and Integrated Reconciliation (IR).

Together with your team, adjust the demand plan based on decisions made from the IBP meetings.

Report on demand changes that impact supply chain capacity, raw material requirements, financial projections and convert them into an updated plan.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to plan and execute on actions related to performance improvements in Forecast accuracy, BIAS, Backorders, and OTIF targets, while meeting the financial targets.

Complete weekly/monthly/ad-hoc reporting and analysis on critical processes needed to improve performance – sales run rate, monthly outlook, forecast accuracy, BIAS, opportunities and risks, and bring alignment to financial forecast.

Coordinate product constraints together with Supply teams and Commercial operations.

Lead employees using performance management processes and tools to engage and encourage employee contribution including goal setting, regular feedback, and annual performance reviews.

Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among the team members that allows for disagreement over ideas, conflict and expeditious problem solving, and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working effectively together to enable each employee and the department to succeed.

Key requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or any related field.

Certification in APICS or equivalent is preferred.

10+ years of progressive experience in demand management or relevant related roles in a manufacturing environment & 5+ years leading people.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Demonstrated strong skills in developing, implementing and improve a demand management process to maximize performance in sales, finance and supply.
