Job Title: Maths Tutor

Location: South East England, Berkshire, Reading

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour

Skills: SEN experience

Job DescriptionJob Duties:
  • Plan and deliver effective maths lessons to students.
  • Provide one-on-one or group tutoring sessions to students.
  • Assess students' learning needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Help students improve their understanding and performance in maths.
  • Monitor and track students' progress and provide feedback.
  • Collaborate with other educators and parents to support students' learning.
Required Qualifications:
  • A relevant degree in Mathematics or Education.
  • Previous experience in tutoring or teaching maths.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Education:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field.
Experience:
  • At least 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching maths.
  • Experience working with students with SEN is highly desirable.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Excellent understanding of mathematical concepts and principles.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students to learn.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of different teaching methods and strategies.
Working Conditions:
  • Part-Time role with flexible hours.
  • Work mainly in a classroom or tutoring centre setting.
  • Potential travel to students' homes for tutoring sessions.
  • Collaboration with other educators and parents may be required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
