Job Duties:

The 1:1 SEN TA with Challenging Behaviours will be responsible for providing support to students with special educational needs, specifically focusing on managing challenging behaviours. This includes assisting with individual learning plans, implementing behaviour management strategies, and ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Required Qualifications:

- Relevant experience working with students with challenging behaviours

- Understanding of special educational needs and behaviour management techniques

Education:

- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths

- Additional qualifications in special education or related fields are desirable

Experience:

- Previous experience working in an educational setting with students with SEN

- Experience in implementing behaviour support plans

Knowledge and Skills:

- Knowledge of SEN policies and procedures

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

- Training in de-escalation techniques

Working Conditions:

- The role may require working directly with students displaying challenging behaviours

- Full-Time hours, temporary position

- The work environment may include classrooms, outdoor spaces, and off-site activities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
