Jemca are currently offering a fantastic opportunity as a SMART Repair Technician  to join our business based out of our Toyota Reading  dealership. This role would suit someone who has an interest in developing their technical knowledge and efficient labour productivity.

As a SMART Repair Technician , you will play a very important role in achieving our organisational goals. You will be required to have a good all-round knowledge of the role, from alloy wheel to bodywork paint repairs. You will have the drive and determination to succeed in a demanding environment.

To qualify for this position, you must have a proven track record in as a SMART Technician/Painter  and be confident in your own abilities.

What We need

Mask/protect any areas adjacent to parts to be prepared Coach and support Apprentice Technicians – for example by explaining a repair on a step-by-step basis as it is being carried out, or allowing an apprentice to carry out part of a job Apply abrasives and use hand and power tools in preparing parts for final refinish Remove all dust and other particles from prepared parts Inspect panels for adherence to shop standards for preparation Ensure minimal material wastage by using all available equipment including IT Prepare vehicles or parts of vehicles to the highest quality standard Accurately manage and maintain a colour database Examine vehicles and/or parts of vehicles and diagnose non-routine defects using knowledge of the vehicles and technologies concerned Work in accordance with Bodyshop and dealership Health & Safety requirements Take personal responsibility for the daily maintenance of Bodyshop equipment, and reports equipment defects or problems that need attention Develop and maintain new practices in order to optimize quality of service Ability to take payment and raise relevant invoice Attend all specialised training, product knowledge and any other such relevant training that is requested of you Listen to the customer and build rapport in order to provide complete customer satisfaction

Relevant experience in a Bodyshop environment Be an experienced SMART Repair Technician Work well under pressure Take pride in your work and have a keen eye for detail Deliver great customer service Be hardworking and self-motivated Have the drive to earn and succeed
