Surrey, United Kingdom Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust Full time

Job overview

**Post open to recently qualified technicians or those about to register**

Are you looking for a job where you enjoy working in a team? Do you thrive working in a busy environment? Do you have excellent customer care skills and have pride in getting things right for your patients?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacy technician to complete our friendly team. You will develop skills in a range of areas at Epsom General Hospital.

Here at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, we are always looking to grow our teams with talented people, just like you.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will primarily be based in the inpatient dispensary, working closely with the senior technician team, working to ensure patients receive their inpatient, outpatient and discharge medication in a safe, efficient and timely manner.

Applicants must have BTEC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services and must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. ACPT would be an advantage.

The post includes participation in weekends (7 days), bank holidays and late duty rotas.

There is one post available where the candidate will work at the Epsom General Hospital site.

Working for our organisation

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust provides a range of medical services to approximately 490,000 people living across southwest London and northeast Surrey. In addition, we provide more specialist services, in particular renal and neonatal intensive care, to a wider area, covering parts of Sussex and Hampshire.

We serve an area that is rich in diversity, with a mix of urban and rural areas, and differing levels of quality of life. We cover some of the most prosperous postcodes in the country, as well as some poorer areas. Together with our colleagues at NHS Surrey and NHS Sutton and Merton, we work to make sure that we deliver the best possible care to the communities we serve.

The Trust employs approximately 5,000 staff across its hospitals and is supported by over 500 volunteers.
