Main duties of the job

As a band Deputy Nurse Manager you will contribute to the smooth running of the department, acting as a role model for junior team members and support the development and delivery of a high standard of nursing care. You will work closely with the Outpatients Sister, acting as deputy in their absence, and provide clinical and managerial leadership to the team. The successful applicant will take the lead in a specific area of practice/project work in the outpatient environment. The role will also involve providing patients with health education, line care and venesection, phlebotomy, cannulation and associated elements of treatment.

We aim to provide a service tailored to individual patients’ needs as well as ensuring staff are supported through clinical supervision, educational programmes and on-going professional development. We actively support nurse-led activities and research, offering opportunities for professional and personal development. Our focus is always on providing the best possible patient care and our values reflect those of the Trust: Compassion, Delivery, Excellence, Learning, Respect and Improvement.
