What's the role?

You will initially be working on the ground in a Hilti Store Representative role for 18-24 months, learning the commercial aspects of our business, before progressing on to a pathway role in field-based Account Management positions.

You will operate the Hilti Store in Edinburgh, maximising sales opportunities and being responsible for careful stock control. You will work closely with the field-based sales team, our tool repair workshops and our Customer and Credit Services teams in order to provide our customers with outstanding service and deliver great results.

What does the role involve?

The Channel Sales Graduate Programme – Hilti Store is a 18-24 months scheme, where you’ll quickly be involved in the day to day running of our business, whilst at the same time gaining exposure to account management. It will be fast paced and testing but it’s designed for you to best understand how the business works, before moving into an Account Manager role.

In your initial position as a Hilti Store Representative, you will be running the store on a day-to-day basis, where you will be tasked with:

Individual customer service and consultation, including hands-on demonstrations of all the products and services within our range Implementing marketing campaigns with support from the marketing and branding teams Execution and coordination of all processes, . order entry, incoming goods, acceptance of repairs, inventory and cash management Developing existing customer relationships by ensuring you are in regular contact with them by phone Establishing new relationships, using your excellent social and customer service skills Unusually within retail, the store is only open Monday to Friday, allowing you the chance to develop further in your retail career without the need to work weekends.

What you need is:

You’ve recently graduated (within the last 2 years), or you’re preparing to graduate in 2024 with a bachelors or masters degree Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred You’re curious and committed, a flexible team player with good communication and social skills You love to challenge yourself and willing to step out of your comfort zone You’re confident in managing challenge and are assertive in pushing back within a sales environment You’re excited about the prospect of rolling up your sleeves and being hands on with Hilti’s latest product innovations You have a strong interest in working within a commercial environment with a focus on sales Full, valid UK or EU manual driving license is required Please note that due to the minimum salary thresholds we are unable to offer skilled visa sponsorship for any in our channel roles.
