Art Psychotherapist - Clinical Specialist

The Emotional Health Service (EHS) is a dynamic team of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, CBT Therapists, Systemic Psychotherapists and Creative Therapists. We have cluster teams at Richmond (base Twickenham) and Kingston (base Chessington) and work closely with our colleagues in Early Help and Social Care. We have staff working in specialist posts in Safeguarding, Looked After Children and deliver a local Neurodevelopmental Assessment Service. We have a strong sense of team and work together to support children and young people’s emotional wellbeing.

This is a part-time role and the salary will be pro-rata.

About the role

As a Clinical Specialist/Art Psychotherapist in the EHS Richmond Cluster you will be passionate about improving the mental health of children and young people and putting them at the centre of all you do. You will be part of an established team and be afforded many different opportunities to use your skills, including providing professional consultations, assessments, individual and group art therapy, supervision and line management. We welcome creative and innovative ways to deliver services. In addition to individual supervision and line management, you will have access to many exciting development opportunities. You will also be part of a Team of 6 Art Psychotherapists in EHS providing access to peer supervision and support. This post is permanent and for 3 or 4 days a week and will be based in Twickenham where there is a dedicated art therapy room. This role has an additional market supplement of £5436 per annum pro rata.

About you

We are looking for a part-time Clinical Specialist Art Psychotherapist (Band 8a equivalent) to join the Emotional Health Service. You will be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people as well as demonstrating the following points:

Putting children and young people first Be a Qualified Art Psychotherapist with appropriate professional registration with HCPC.  Have experience in providing clinical supervision or line management to others Have CAMHS experience in working with complex and vulnerable families Have knowledge of and experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental difficulties such as Autism and ADHD.
